Virginia Tech professor Patricia Dove was recently elected to the National Academy of Science by her scientific peers. She is one of four Virginia Tech professors to have been so honored. In 2010 Dove was appointed to the C.P. “Sally” Miles Professorship of Science, which was established in 1986 through a gift from Melvin “Cy” Young. The professorship honors the Virginia Tech graduate who spent 59 years at the university teaching chemistry and coaching athletic teams. Click on the photo to learn more.
